RAK Chooses CCS as its U.K. Master Distributor

RAK the UAE porcelain producer has chosen Continental Chef Supplies Ltd. (CCS) as its Master U.K. Distributor. Their new alliance was much in evidence at the Restaurant Show and both companies are confident that they have something new to offer the market. CCS have steadily built their stable of tableware brands over the last 6 years, bringing new names to the restaurant scene such as Figgjo. They are aiming to establish RAK as an exciting alternative to the more established brands in the volume market. RAK Porcelain is part of the RAK Ceramics Group established in 1991, now the world’s largest ceramic manufacturer. It produces fully vitrified high alumina porcelain from its purpose-built facilities in Ras al Khaimah which has a dedicated production capacity of 15 million pieces. CCS has recently strengthened its direct sales forces in London and the South East and its new Sales Director Troy Smith, is confident that RAK will make a big impression in the market. Troy says “RAK are very forward thinking. I am impressed by their state-of-the-art production facility and the fact that they are so willing to listen to our ideas on product development. Our team are really excited about the prospect of bringing this to the market. Judging by the reaction at the show, I think we have a winner”. CCS will also supply selected distributors and Claude Peiffer, Managing Director of RAK Porcelain Europe, believes that CCS are ideally positioned to promote RAK in the U.K. “CCS is unique in this market. They think differently to every other distributor and I believe they really get to the heart of what the industry wants.” CCS have included RAK products in its newly launched Corporate Catering brochure and are available for sale immediately.
